Councillor Basil Hall was elected as Municipal Councillor for Polling District No. 9 at the Election held on October 18, 2008. Polling District No. 9 includes the areas of Coldbrook, Cambridge and Waterville.

Basil serves on the Municipal Economic Development Committee and Airport Co-op, Kings Transit Board, Regional Emergency Management, Executive Committee, Trails Committee and the Board of Management of Grand View Manor.

Basil, along with his son, owns Video World in New Minas and lives in Coldbrook with his wife, Kathy. They have two children and five grandchildren.
