Water Conservation

Water Conservation at Home and Work starts with You!
Water conservation is an important aspect of water utility management as well as for private well owners. The Municipality is establishing a program in an effort to inform people of the impact of better water efficiency and water conservation.

The goals of water conservation are:

     1. Sustainability – the rate of use of a water source should not exceed its ability
to replenish itself. This will ensure availability for future generations.

     2. Energy conservation - Water pumping, delivery, and wastewater treatment
facilities consume a significant amount of energy.

     3. Habitat conservation – Reduced human consumption ensures availability for
         local wild life.
