Park Development Program
To assist
communities with the capital development and/or
maintenance of community parks and open spaces
for public purposes.
This program covers all capital aspects
of development and maintenance excluding the
purchase of land for future development.
Deadline
for applications are August 31st of each year.
Community Recreation Assistance
Fund
The primary goal of this funding program is
to assist with funds to offer community youth
programs.
Therefore, assistance will only be provided
as a means to contribute to the success of the
program after all other sources of funding have
been identified.
The
annual application period for the Community
Recreation Assistance Fund is January-February,
subject to approval by Municipal Council (approximately
April-May).
Community Hall Assistance Program
The Municipality of the County of Kings shall assist communities with capital renovations and repairs to community halls. This program covers all capital aspects of construction and physical repairs and renovations, excluding the purchase of land for future development. This program does not cover activities-related materials and equipment, such as tables, chairs, games, or kitchen supplies.
1. To be considered for a CHAP grant, funding must be used for: Public Community Halls
2. Items of a permanent, non consumable capital nature .
Deadline for applications: April 30th of each year.
Trails Assistance Program (TAP)
The purpose of this program is to provide financial assistance to established trails groups or communities within the Municipality of the County of Kings in support of the development and operation of a public trails system that serves the needs of all municipal residents.
OBJECTIVES
1. To assist in the development of a diversified trails network, planned and used in an environmentally responsible manner that enhances the health of all users.
2. To support the development of public trails intended for either motorized or non-motorized activities or as shared use trails.
Deadline for Applications: January 15th of each year.
