The Municipality of the County of Kings is reviewing its regulations for large-scale wind turbines, which were adopted in 2011. Highlights of the current regulations include as-of-right permitting and a 2300ft (700m) minimum separation distance between turbines and dwellings.
This project will be an opportunity for Council to further review information on wind turbines, and, most importantly, to hear from the residents of Kings County.
This webpage is intended to keep you up-to-date as the project progresses. Please check back often for any new information. Please also see the “Get Involved” section to discover how you can help shape large-scale wind turbine policy in Kings County.
