Public Works operates and maintains the Greenwood Water Utility which provides a potable water supply to the village of Greenwood as well as the Sandy Court area of Aylesford. Hydrants are also provided for fire protection in the Greenwood Water Utility. All water connections are metered and billed quarterly according to actual consumption. Water is obtained from two high quality ground water wells in the area. There are two 330,000 gallon above ground tank reservoirs, a 50,000 gallon below ground tank, and a chlorine treatment system included in the water utility.

Greenwood Water Billings
The Municipality owns and operates the Greenwood Water Utility. Water Billings take place four times (4) annually following the end of each quarterly period of:
First Quarter Billing Ending Date - March 31st
Second Quarter Billing Ending Date - June 30th
Third Quarter Billing Ending Date - September 30th
Fourth Quarter Billing Ending Date - December 31st

The interest rate charged on overdue accounts is 1% per month.

*** ACCOUNTS THAT REMAIN UNPAID THIRTY (30) DAYS AFTER THE BILLING DATE WILL RECEIVE A TEN (10) DAY NOTICE ADVISING THAT UNLESS PAYMENT IS RECEIVED WITHIN THIS TIME PERIOD, THE WATER WILL BE SHUT OFF.***

PAYMENT OPTIONS
In order to make it easier for residents to make payments on their tax accounts, the County has arranged the following methods for tax bill payments:

	at the county office located at 87 Cornwallis Street, Kentville, NS, Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
	using Telepay ( Note: this method must be set up by the tax-payer at their financial institution).
